Dietary Advice
Appropriate nutritional balance and diet can play a positive role in MS.
The diet recommended by the MSTCs encourages increased consumption of unsaturated fatty acids while decreasing the intake of saturated fats. The nutritional programme also recommends increased intakes of vitamins, minerals, trace elements and fibre, which are all important for general health.
In 2006, the MSTCs provided 12,900 sessions of dietary advice.
